January 2012

Monday 9th Monthly meeting
Light Writing - bring a small torch, your cameras, tripods and warm clothing as we will be outdoors.
Theme for the evening"Lights"
Bring up to 4 pictures on a memory stick (don't send to Sarah).

February 2012

Monday 6th Monthly meeting
A presentation by Julian Edwards, professional photographer, on 'Understanding depth of field'.
Theme for the evening "Shadows"
Don't forget to bring your cameras and questions about depth of field.
Please send Sarah your pictures of lightwriting and shadows (up to 4 of each) before Friday 3rd or bring pictures on a stick to the meeting.
Ideal resolution for our projector is 1024x768.

March 2012

Monday 5th Monthly meeting
A presentation by Suzette Gibbs, Fine Art Photographer entitled, 'Up close and personal'.
Theme for the evening "Transport"
Please send Sarah your transport pictures (up to 4) before Friday 2nd or bring pictures on a stick to the meeting.

April 2012

Monday 2nd Monthly meeting
In house Competition for all fully paid up members.
Subject "Architecture"
Bring one A4 print, unmounted borderless. Colour or B/W, but no special effects, and regular matt or gloss photo paper. Sarah needs to know you are entering by 25th March.
Please bring Velcro & Blu-Tack attached for mounting, and your name on the back.
Theme for the evening "Leaves"
Also - putting into practice what we learnt about depth of field, choose
up to four pictures to illustrate deep and shallow depth of field, preferably with the f stop/aperture, shutter speed and the ISO number.
Please send Sarah your 'depth of field' and 'leaves' pictures (up to 4 of each) before Friday 30th March or bring pictures on a stick to the meeting.

May 2012

Monday 7th Monthly meeting
‘What you can do with your camera’. Selected techniques eg. Location study. A presentation by John Keeble.
Theme for the evening "Red"

Wednesday 9th Awayday
Visit to Lavenham and Flatford Mill.

June 2012

Sunday 3rd Awayday
Visit to Museum of Technology Cambridge.

Meet in Coles Lane car park Linton, to share transport, leaving at 10.30 prompt.
Those going direct arrive at the museum at 11am. We hope to meet up for coffee later. Further information will be distributed to those known to be going.

A photography General Knowledge Quiz in teams. PRIZES! Gen up before you come!

Monday 6th Monthly meeting
No meeting at Cathodeon Centre. Photographic treasure hunt in teams. Meet at the Three Tuns, Abington at 7.15pm.

September 2012

Monday 3rd Monthly meeting
Troubleshooting evening. Group therapy on how to handle your camera and tackle any problems.
Theme for the evening "Hats" Send 4 hat pics to Sarah or bring on a memory stick.

Awayday
September mid-week Awayday to Southwold, day to be decided at short notice depending on weather forecast.

October 2012

Monday 1st Monthly meeting
Presentation by Simon Flood on Time Lapse Photography.
Theme for the evening "Comfort". Send 4 comfort pics to Sarah or bring on a memory stick.

Saturday 20th Linton Camera Club Annual Exhibition
10.00am to 4.00pm at The Village Hall, Coles Lane, Linton.
Setting up on Friday 19th at 8pm.
Your chance to show your best photos not seen in previous annual exhibitions.

November 2012

Monday 5th Monthly meeting
In-house competition to be judged by members - subject "A Portrait". One A4 print, colour, sepia or black and white. Open to interpretation but subject to be living as opposed to still life.
The October Exhibition - "How was it for you" - A discussion on the success of this year's exhibition.
Theme for the evening "Tidy" Send 4 tidy pics to Sarah or bring on a memory stick.

December 2012

Friday 7th Dinner at the Crown for members and partners. More details to follow.
