The club has a facebook page here:- that is open to members only.
The Club's projector has a resolution of 1024 pixels horizontally x 768 pixels vertically. When members show images at meetings, to save computer processing time, it is best that images are reduced in size to the same number of pixels or slightly less. Images of many mega-bytes can be slow to appear on the screen.
There is a very simple free programme called Fast Image Resizer available which does the job for you. Windows users can download it from the adionsoft website here:- http://adionsoft.net/fastimageresize/ and there is an Apple Mac version here:- http://adionsoft.net/fastimageresize/mac.php
Fast Image Resizer always preserves the aspect ratio of your pictures, which means they will not be stretched to match the resolution you selected. See the instructional documentation available on the website.
We usually ask for 2 images to be brought on a memory stick and these are copied onto the club laptop into one folder. To allow seamless projection of all the images from one member to another, we ask that you rename them to 'yourname1' and 'yourname2' (eg FredBloggs1 and FredBloggs2).
